Learned to identify individual, family and social difficulties, by using the Solution Focused Model. Studied the special needs of children, families, and the elderly; those in conflict with the law; those affected by housing difficulties and violence against women; those with addiction problems, mental health disorders, physical and developmental disabilities, medical problems. These groups were studied from psychological and sociological perspectives. Developed skills to identify and empower consumers in dealing with their psychosocial issues and adaptations and completed in-depth analysis of small group dynamics facilitation skills and self-awareness.

Developed an understanding of the accepted theoretical approaches to early childhood development and the current themes that influence and drive child development research today. Used a Constructivist approach to examine the attitudes, roles and responsibilities of a professional early childhood educator. Explored various topics including: perception, motivation, learning, memory, intelligence, and personality. Learned about the influence of personality on behaviour and actions. Examined current research and theories to understand how personality is developed by exploring patterns of thoughts, feelings, and behaviour that make a person unique.
